Terms of Service

These terms explain how Kootenay Maintenance handles website use, appointment requests, and automotive repair work in Delta, British Columbia.

Book an appointment

Using this website

Purpose

Use this website to learn about Kootenay Maintenance, review available services, and request an appointment. The information is general guidance and may change as vehicles, parts, and repair needs are assessed.

Accurate details

Please provide a current phone number, vehicle description, and clear account of the concern when you contact us. Keep your appointment details private. Short and accurate is best.

Website access

Do not misuse the website, interfere with its operation, copy its content for commercial use, or attempt to access areas that are not made available to you. We may update, pause, or remove website content when needed.

Appointments and repairs

Appointment requests

Submitting a booking request does not guarantee a time slot. Your appointment is confirmed only when Kootenay Maintenance accepts the request by phone, email, or another direct message.

Vehicle information

Tell us about warning lights, recent repairs, unusual sounds, and changes in vehicle performance. This helps the technician plan the visit. A proper diagnosis may require inspection before the required work is known.

Changes and cancellations

Contact the shop as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an appointment. We may need to move a booking when parts, staff, inspection findings, or circumstances outside our control affect the schedule.

Customer authorization

Repair work begins after you authorize the work and understand the available estimate or scope. Additional work requires your approval before it is completed, except where immediate action is reasonably needed to protect the vehicle or people nearby.

Estimates and payment

Estimates

An estimate is based on the information available at the time. The final amount can change when hidden damage, seized components, unavailable parts, or other inspection findings are discovered. We will discuss material changes with you.

Parts and timing

Repair timing can depend on supplier availability, delivery delays, vehicle condition, and the work already approved. We will provide an updated expectation when the schedule changes.

Payment

Payment is due when the agreed work is complete unless a different arrangement is confirmed in writing. Any applicable taxes, shop charges, parts, and labour are included in the amount discussed with you.

Responsibility and liability

Vehicle condition

Vehicles can have existing wear, damage, or faults that are unrelated to the requested service. A repair may reveal another issue or may not correct a separate problem. We will explain relevant findings when they are identified.

Safe vehicle use

You are responsible for following safety advice and deciding when a vehicle should not be driven. Stop using the vehicle and contact the shop if a new warning light, fluid leak, noise, or handling concern appears after service.

Reasonable limits

To the extent permitted by law, Kootenay Maintenance is not responsible for losses caused by misuse, undisclosed vehicle conditions, inaccurate information, delayed parts, events outside reasonable control, or use of the vehicle against safety advice.

Questions about these terms

These terms are intended to keep expectations clear. Please contact Kootenay Maintenance before booking if you need an explanation of a service, estimate, or appointment request.
